    Google x UTSC AI Bootcamp

    This 6-week hands-on GenAI bootcamp is designed for first- and second-year students interested in building real-world AI applications using Google’s Gemini models and Google Cloud. Participants will work in teams of 3–5 to design, build, and deploy GenAI-powered web applications while learning core concepts such as multimodal AI, vector search, and cloud deployment. The program emphasizes practical learning through guided workshops and project-based development. Program Details - Duration: 6 weeks - Dates: February 20 – March 27, 2026 - Time: Fridays, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM - Location: IC - Participant Limit: 50 Applications Open: January 2025 Primary Communication Channel: Discord Team Size: 3–5 members 🍕 Food will be provided for Week 2-6 workshops. What You Will Learn - Using the Gemini API and Google Gen AI SDK (Python) - Building and deploying GenAI-powered web applications - Vector embeddings and semantic search - Multimodal AI use cases (text, images, audio, video) - Deploying applications on Google Cloud Run Projects Participants will complete guided projects such as: - A GenAI-powered yoga pose recommender using vector search - A YouTube video summarization web application - A final team project showcased during the closing session Showcase, Prizes, and Certificates - Final project demonstrations to a panel of judges - Prizes include Google swag and other tech rewards - Certificates awarded to participants who: - Submit a project - Attend at least 3 out of 5 workshops - Winning teams receive an additional certificate
